Travel China: Most Expensive of Teas
2008-03-18
In this episode, our host Dalong will bring you to Dazhang Mountain. The highest peak there is 1600m above sea level. The road along the mountain is so steep and dangerous that no tourist is allowed to drive up there by himself—and it’s only been open to tourists for a few years.
Revealing nature in its pristine state, Dazhang Mountain is famous for its waterfalls. In WoLong Valley, there are 82 waterfalls in different sizes.
Because of the fresh and clear water, Dazhang Mountain has one of the most expensive teas, the LeiGuJian Peak tea. The best quality one is harvested at a height of nearly 1630 meters above sea level.
